I finished my black and white quilt! This was an exercise from Nancy Crow's class that I started last June. It's interesting to me because of the variability in shapes and new shapes that is formed between blocks. This quilt is 36" x 68".
Someday I'll take a new photo of this quilt utilizing my new lighting system. In real life the whites in this quilt is really white. Here is a detail of the quilting:
This is the color study of the above quilt. I really like the palate eventhough I still used every color in the rainbow! This quilt is 47" x 35".
I like the quilting of this one better - all horozontal lines. I asked the kids and they like it better too. Funny how they could tell that quilting changes the way a quilt looks

Robin - thank you so much for sharing your completed quilts from your improvisational piecing workshop with Nancy Crow. I did this workshop with Nancy in July 2006 and regret that I have not seen any of the post-workshop output of my fellow students even though I am sure they are creating. It is exciting to see what the workshop has sparked in others.
Great work. Your quilting really makes the piece!!
I am stunned by your work. Evocative of many things and beautiful. Well done.
